Chairside Assisting 101
Course Overview
Dental assistants provide essential services to support patient care in dentistry. This course reviews basic dental assisting concepts to help you prepare for DANB’s General Chairside Assisting (GC) exam. You will explore concepts related to oral and dental anatomy, documentation, four-handed dentistry, patient communication, patient education, and more. The course walks through patient scenarios related to chairside assisting, addressing exam room setup, materials, procedures, and post-operative duties that dental assistants may perform.
Questions in the review course are not from actual DANB exams, and completing the review course does not guarantee you will pass the DANB GC exam.
