The Dental Assisting National Board, Inc. (DANB) Launches New Website

The Dental Assisting National Board, Inc. today launched its new website, which features a new and improved design, easier navigation, updated functionality and many new features.

Users can now Create an Account, which will allow candidates and certificants to access certification and exam histories, cancel or reschedule an exam, renew certification, and receive test admission notices and other secure electronic communications from DANB.

DANB’s Exams & Certifications page contains all of the information users need about DANB’s certification programs and component exams. All of the information from DANB’s application packets is now available online using simple, interactive content and colorful graphics – making the DANB exam application process simpler and easier.

DANB’s state-specific dental assisting information is now available in an easy-to-use, interactive state map on the Search by State page. Here, users will find shortcuts to essential information such as dental assisting job titles, recognition of DANB exams, allowed dental assisting functions and requirements for each state.

Certificants will still be able to renew their DANB certifications on the Maintain Certification page, after they Create an Account. Certificants should allow some time to complete the extra steps required to connect to their DANB information before renewing.

The website also features a new Online Credential Verification tool. Now, dentist employers, state dental boards, regulators, educators, dental office managers and other members of the oral healthcare community can verify a dental assistant’s DANB credentials online using this convenient, secure feature.

Throughout the website, users will experience a clean, updated design; updated content; DANB’s new color palette; breadcrumb navigation; and updated functionality, such as the use of video, expand/collapse text, and the ability to share content through email.

DANB's website is a constant work in progress. New features and improvements will continue to be added in the future, and feedback and suggestions are welcome, so that DANB's website serves all of its stakeholders as effectively and efficiently as possible.
